The Story of BrewHouse

Hi. My name is Douglas Salloum. I was a brewer for the MacKinnon Brothers on their excellent farm-based brewery in Bath, Ontario.

After I retired I wanted to share the fun and challenges of brewing with others ... so I designed BrewHouse, a board game for people who like craft beer.

Real world brewing vs.strategy game play

Each player has a game board representing a brewery. Players spend Beer Bucks to purchase the brewing inputs they need (malt, hops and yeast) and move their beer, represented by keg shaped markers, through each stage of the brewing process.

How many Beer Bucks you earn when you sell your beer in your tap room depends on which beers you choose to brew and on the quality of the beer, as in any craft brewery.

Become the Brew Master!

The winner in BrewHouse is the player with the most Brew Master Credits at the end of the game. Credits are earned by meeting specific sales milestones, by having a great range of beers in your tap room, by making money and by strategically investing your profits. How you balance these objectives is up to you. It's your brewery!

But Things Happen in a brewery ... good things and bad things. How you deal with the unexpected may determined whether you become the Brew Master... or not.

Stay tuned

BrewHouse will be available in early 2025 ...from this site or from articipating co-branding partners.

I will be developing co-branding partner agreements with breweries in Western Canada and Eastern Canada.

When you order your copy of BrewHouse from this site you will be able to specify which set of Brewery cards you want included with the game.
